It is not unusual for patients to visit High Forest Dental in the Littleton and Columbine, Colorado area needing dental work – but fearing their upcoming appointment. Dental anxiety affects all genders and ages, but thanks to sedation dentistry, patients can work with a dentist offering sedation methods for a more positive experience every visit. Dr. Allison H. Brown and her team can assist.
At High Forest Dental, Dr. Brown uses two types of sedation, valium, and nitrous oxide, to put patients at ease.
There are a few things our team can do to put you at ease further when you visit the dentist’s chair. This includes offering a comfortable pillow and blanket, noise-canceling headphones, and music to relax and calm those in our office. Dr. Brown and her team also take the time to explain each step of the dental procedure, answer any questions or concerns you may have, and provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
In addition to our team’s efforts, you can take some steps to relax before and during your dental appointment. These include practicing deep breathing exercises, listening to calming music or guided meditation, visualizing yourself in a peaceful place, and communicating openly with your dentist about your fears and concerns.
It is essential to remember that dental visits do not have to be stressful or anxiety-inducing. With the help of sedation options and techniques for relaxation, you can have a positive experience at the dentist’s office. Our team at High Forest Dental is committed to ensuring a visit free from fear!
