High Forest Dental is one of the leading providers of cosmetic dentistry in Littleton, Colorado, and its environs. Under the leadership of Dr. Allison Brown, our office has helped many patients over the years to get the smiles they deserve. Whether you want to straighten, brighten, or lengthen your teeth, there is something for everyone in our office.
Invisalign teeth alignment is one of the most popular treatments offered in our practice. This orthodontic treatment is preferable for patients who want to straighten their teeth without metal braces. Instead of metal wires and brackets, Invisalign uses clear, removable plastic trays to move your teeth into the desired position.
For most orthodontic issues, you don’t need traditional braces. Invisalign technology has evolved to tackle most dental problems. Dr. Brown can use Invisalign to correct:
Most patients are eligible for Invisalign if they are free from cavities and gum disease. However, you must visit an Invisalign-certified dentist like Dr. Brown to determine your eligibility for optimal results.
The process starts with a consultation with Dr. Brown to assess your teeth and bite. If Invisalign is right for you, we digitally scan your teeth and feed the images to computer modeling software to show how and when your teeth will move during treatment. Once you approve the “previewed results,” we send your oral scans to our Invisalign lab to create your bespoke teeth aligners.
Your aligners should arrive within two to three weeks. We’ll show you how to wear and maintain them. These aligners must be worn 20-22 hours daily to hasten your treatment. Furthermore, you must replace your aligners every two weeks with a newer set that gradually shifts your teeth toward a more aligned position than the previous one.
Invisalign uses patented technology optimized for precise movement and effective outcomes. Although Invisalign was used for mild cases in the early 2000s, today, this system effectively treats complex cases in as little as 12-18 months.
Following are the many benefits of Invisalign:
Maintaining your clear aligners is also easy. Clean them daily with a soft toothbrush and non-abrasive toothpaste. Rinse, dry, and store them in a case when not in use. Avoid biting or chewing on them, as this can chip or warp your trays. To avoid staining and bacteria buildup, don’t eat or drink with your aligners other than for drinking water. Finally, maintain optimal oral hygiene to prevent harmful bacteria from being trapped in your aligners.
